A two-day disability studies workshop commenced at the University of Kashmir today, accompanied by the signing of a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting disability sensitization programs and enhancing comprehension of this emerging academic discipline. The MoU focuses on advancing disability studies as an academic field and fostering greater awareness regarding the necessity of involving students in disability research. Prof Nilofer Khan, the Vice-Chancellor, presided over the inaugural session of the workshop, organized by the Department of English in partnership with the Centre for Disability Research and Training (CDRT) at Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi.
